The thematic focus of this edition will be the following:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Independence Movements \/ Emancipatory Processes in the Americas <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>While we use the occasion of current and upcoming events celebrating 200 years of independence in various countries in Latin America to launch our call for papers, we aim at an edition that goes beyond a purely historical approach and that includes reflections in various disciplines on both colonial as well as postcolonial experiences across the nations of the Americas.
