Submissions should address the limits and possibilities of \u2018Hemispheric Studies of the Americas\u2019 and discuss methodologies, concepts as well as theoretical approaches relevant for reflections upon studies of the Americas within the dynamics and tensions of globalization. Manifold approaches\u2014be they decolonial, postcolonial, transcultural, transversal, embedded in mobility studies and transnational area studies\u2014have enriched, diversified and complicated hemispheric approaches to view, explore and analyze the interdependences and interrelations within the Americas and beyond in recent times. This special issue of <em>fiar <\/em>intends to focus the theoretical debates currently renegotiating critical directions in Canadian, American, Latin American and Inter-American Studies in a dialogical and critical fashion. Please submit articles latest by <strong>June 30<sup>th<\/sup> 2013<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The forum for inter-american research (<em>fiar<\/em>) is the official electronic journal of the International Association of Inter-American Studies. It was established by the American Studies Program at Bielefeld University in 2008.<\/p>\n<p>We foster a dialogic and interdisciplinary approach to the study of the Americas. <em>fiar<\/em> is a peer-reviewed online journal. Articles in this journal undergo a double-blind review process and are published in English and Spanish. We do not charge readers or institutions for full text access. In addition to written work we also publish selected audiovisual material of conference presentations, keynotes, and video features. The editors invite the submission of articles (7,500- 10,000 words, MLA style), event-scenes, interviews and reviews to fiar@interamerica.de.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The editorial board consists of a broad range of international scholars from diverse disciplinary backgrounds. <em>fiar<\/em> is ASA, EBSCO and MLA registered.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"center\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><strong>\u00a0Los estudios hemisf\u00e9ricos de las Am\u00e9ricas<\/strong> <strong>en sus teor\u00edas<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Los editores de <em>fiar<\/em> invitan a investigadores y acad\u00e9micos a enviar art\u00edculos (en ingl\u00e9s o espa\u00f1ol) para la edici\u00f3n especial titulada \u201cLos estudios hemisf\u00e9ricos en sus teor\u00edas\u201d. Las entregas deber\u00e1n abordar las posibilidades de los estudios hemisf\u00e9ricos de las Americas y poner a discusi\u00f3n las metodolog\u00edas, conceptos, y enfoques te\u00f3ricos relevantes para la reflexi\u00f3n sobre las Am\u00e9ricas dentro de las din\u00e1micas y tensiones de la globalizaci\u00f3n. M\u00faltiples enfoques \u2013 decoloniales, poscoloniales, transculturales, transversales, intercalados en los estudios de movilidad y estudios transnacionales de \u00e1rea \u2013 enriquecieron, diversificaron y complicaron los estudios hemisf\u00e9ricos para ver, explorar y analizar las interdependencias e interrelaciones dentro de las Am\u00e9ricas en la agenda actual. Con esta edici\u00f3n especial de <em>fiar<\/em> proponemos destacar los debates te\u00f3ricos que actualmente renegocian las direcciones cr\u00edticas en los estudios canadieneses, norteamericanos, latinoamericanos y los estudios interamericanos con el fin de entrar en un dialogo cr\u00edtico. La fecha l\u00edmite para la recepci\u00f3n de art\u00edculos para esta edici\u00f3n ser\u00e1 hasta el <strong>Junio 30 de 2013<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>El foro de estudios inter-americanos\/<em>Forum for Inter-American Research<\/em> (<em>fiar<\/em>) es la revista electr\u00f3nica oficial de la Asociaci\u00f3n Internacional de Estudios Interamericanos. Fue creada como parte del <em>American Studies Program<\/em> de la Universidad de Bielefeld en 2008.<\/p>\n<p>Fomentamos un enfoque dial\u00f3gico e interdisciplinario de los estudios de las Am\u00e9ricas. <em>Fiar<\/em> es un revista <em>online peer-review<\/em>.
