\nDr. Mart\u00edn Lienhard (Basilea 1946), docteur \u00e8s lettres de la Universidad de Ginebra (1981) y, desde 2011, profesor em\u00e9rito de la Universidad de Zurich (Suiza), trabaja en el campo de los estudios latinoamericanos y africanos. Su investigaci\u00f3n alterna o combina historia, antropolog\u00eda (incl. historia oral), estudios literarios (incl. literatura oral) y cinematogr\u00e1ficos. Algunos de los trabajos realizados por Lienhard en estos campos est\u00e1n reunidos en sus libros O mar e o mato<\/em> y Disidentes, rebeldes, insurgentes<\/em>. Otras \u00e1reas de inter\u00e9s: teor\u00eda y pr\u00e1ctica de la antropolog\u00eda visual\/historia oral, cine latinoamericano (ficci\u00f3n\/documental), literaturas interculturales en Am\u00e9rica Latina y la \u00c1frica de lengua oficial portuguesa desde 1500 hasta la actualidad. Lienhard trabaja, adem\u00e1s, en varios proyectos video (M\u00e9xico, Per\u00fa, Brasil, Venezuela).<\/p>\n

\nGeorge Lipsitz is an American Studies scholar and Professor in the Department of Black Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and the author of over half a dozen books, including The Possessive Investment in Whiteness<\/em>. He is a leading scholar in social movements, urban culture, inequality, the politics of popular culture, and Whiteness Studies. In addition to The Possessive Investment in Whiteness<\/em>, he has written Midnight at the Barrelhouse, Footsteps in the Dark, A Life in the Struggle, Time Passages, Dangerous Crossroads, American Studies in a Moment of Danger, Rainbow at Midnight, Sidewalks of St. Louis, and Class & Culture in Cold War America.<\/em> Lipsitz serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the African American Policy Forum and is on the board of the National Fair Housing Alliance. He edits the Critical American Series<\/em> for University of Minnesota Press, and co-edits the American Crossroads<\/em>series for University of California Press.<\/p>\n
