\nLos editores de fiar invitan a investigadores para entregar sus art\u00edculos (en ingl\u00e9so espa\u00f1ol) para la edici\u00f3n especial titulada \u201cEntrelazamientos caribe\u00f1os: cultura(s) y natura revisitados\u201d<\/strong>. El inter\u00e9s para entender y abarcar los efectos y las interrelaciones contempor\u00e1neas e hist\u00f3ricas debido al caract\u00e9r especial de las conexiones entre (los entendimientos de ideas e imaginarios de) \u201cnatura\u201d y \u201ccultura\u201d resulta ser un tema de m\u00faltiples disciplinas. Los estudios acerca de estas conexiones, sin embargo, permanecen muchas veces dentro de los l\u00edmites de las disciplinas. Por lo tanto consideramos la edici\u00f3n en camino de fiar para enfocar los diversos acercamientos y debates sobre entrelazamientos de cultura(s) y natura dentro de un marco dial\u00f3gico y cr\u00edtico.
\nLas entregas deber\u00edan destacar tendencies actuales para estudiar cultura(s) y natura caribe\u00f1as. Adem\u00e1s deber\u00edan discutir metodolog\u00edas, conceptos y enfoques te\u00f3ricos relevantes para la reflexi\u00f3n sobre desafios y fen\u00f3menos recientes del Caribe. En consecuencia, la presente demanda de entregas est\u00e1 dirigida hacia investigadores de diferentes campos acad\u00e9micos interesados en las diversas dimensiones del nexo cultura-natura en el espacio caribe\u00f1o. Exigimos la entrega de res\u00famenes para esta edici\u00f3n hasta el Marzo 15 de 2014<\/strong>. Los art\u00edculos, despu\u00e9s de la aprobaci\u00f3n de la propuesta, deber\u00edan ser entregados hasta el Julio 15 de 2014<\/strong>. La publicaci\u00f3n es planificada para la primavera de 2015.
\nEl foro de estudios inter-americanos\/forum for intermarican research (fiar) es la revista electr\u00f3nica oficial de la Asociaci\u00f3n Internacional de Estudios Interamericanos. Fue establecido por el American Studies Program de la Universidiad de Bielefeld en 2008.
\nFormentamos un enfoque dial\u00f3gico e interdisciplinario de los estudios de las Americas. fiar es un revista online peer-review. Los art\u00edclos de nuestra revista experimentan un proceso de revisi\u00f3n cr\u00edtica double-blind. Publicamos textos en espa\u00f1ol e ingl\u00e9s. El acceso completo a los textos publicados es libre. Adicionalmente publicamos materiales audiovisuales selectadas de presentaciones de conferencias, keynotes y reportajes de v\u00eddeo. \nThe editors of fiar invite scholars to send articles (English and Spanish) for a special issue \u2018Caribbean Entanglements. Culture(s) and Nature Revisited\u2019<\/strong>. Scholars of various disciplinary backgrounds are interested in understanding contemporary and historical effects and interrelations due to multiple culture-nature connections. However, studies on the theme remain often within the disciplinary boundaries. Therefore, we consider in this special issue of fiar to focus the diverse approaches and debates dealing with entanglements of culture(s) and nature in a dialogical and critical fashion.
\nSubmissions should address current trends of studying culture(s) and nature in the Caribbean and discuss methodologies, concepts as well as theoretical approaches relevant for reflections upon recent challenges and phenomena in the region. This call for papers is aimed at researchers of different fields interested in the varied dimensions of the nexus culture-nature in the Caribbean. Please submit an abstract (one page) latest by March 15th 2014<\/strong>. After acceptance, articles should be submitted by July 30th 2014<\/strong>, with a publication planned for spring\/summer 2015.
\nThe forum for inter-american research (fiar) is the official electronic journal of the International Association of Inter-American Studies. It was established by the American Studies Program at Bielefeld University in 2008.
\nWe foster a dialogic and interdisciplinary approach to the study of the Americas. fiar is a peer- reviewed online journal. Articles in this journal undergo a double-blind review process and are published in English and Spanish. We do not charge readers or institutions for full text access. In addition to written work we also publish selected audiovisual material of conference presentations, keynotes, and video features. The editors invite the submission of articles (7,500- 10,000 words, MLA style), event-scenes, interviews and reviews to fiar@interamerica.de<\/a>. The editorial board consists of a broad range of international scholars from diverse disciplinary backgrounds. fiar is ASA, EBSCO and MLA registered.<\/p>\n
