At the last Board Meeting of the International Association of Inter-American Studies in Lima a network on “Indigeneity in the Americas” was established. The network is organized by IAS Board members

This network is now constituting itself as an informal cooperation of scholars interested in indigenous issues and Indigenous Studies in the Americas. All IAS members are invited to join by contacting the organizers. The activities of this network, its modes of cooperation, and any joint projects will be established by the network members. There is no pre-set agenda.
As a kick-off, Gonzalo Portocarrero would like to invite you to a conference on the Huarochirí manuscript. His invitation is appended below; for the call for papers (in both Spanish and English) please see below. Proposals are accepted between now and April 15, 2015. The conference, which will be organized by the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and the National Library of Peru, will be held in Lima June 18 and 19, 2015.
